Organizational structure

Organizational structure of BTF is corresponding to the main research activities. Thus, the Institute consists of ten research departments:

• Dept. for agro-economy and rural development;
• Dept. for soil improvement and melioration;
• Dept. for forestry;
• Dept. for plant protection;
• Dept. for field crops, vegetable growing and forage plants,
• Dept. for livestock production,
• Dept. for veterinary research,
• Dept. for viticulture, enology and fruit growing,
• Dept. for subtropical cultures and
• Dept. for continental fruit growing,

accompanied by the laboratories and two experimental station in vine and fruit production.

The BTF also has specialised services. These include:

• The cattle selection service
• The dairy laboratory
• The advisory service for plant production
